Relaxed wedding at the The White Hart Inn at Lydgate, Saddleworth
Leeann & James have known each other since college & university, James popped the question to Leeann on her birthday by hiding the ring in one of her presents! Their wedding day began with me meeting the girls at a cottage literally a few steps up the road from The White Hart Inn, Lydgate. The boys stayed above the pub which meant I could dash back and forth to get photographs of both the bridal party & groomsmen getting ready!
The ceremony took place in the Oak Room in the White Hart at Lydgate; a new addition to the Saddleworth pub with an amazing glass roof. The Oak Room is fabulously light which meant I could get lots of great natural photographs during Leeann & James' emotional ceremony. After the ceremony, I took James & Leeann across the road from the pub for their couples' portraits. It was a typical rainy day in Saddleworth but that didn't stop these two! We even met some cow friends haha. Sometimes if the weather is a bit grey, it's a good excuse to snuggle up which makes for some romantic photographs that are still fun and relaxed.
We warmed up inside for the drinks reception in the library whilst the Oak Room was transformed for the wedding breakfast. Leeann's bridesmaid Jenny, made all the name places in beautiful calligraphy. Leeann & James' favourite detail from their wedding was their guestbook: "It was the vinyl of our first dance in a frame that guests signed. " - really romantic!
