Knipe Hall Penrith Wedding

Rachelle & Kevin's relaxed wedding day in The Lake District

I had an amazing time in the Lake District for Rachelle & Kevin's Knipe Hall wedding!

They had their chilled out day at Knipe Hall near Penrith which is a fantastic little barn venue with the most stunning views.

Rachelle & Kevin made most of their decor and their reception look amazing! I loved their rose gold & green theme and I can only imagine how many hours they must have spent rummaging in charity shops collecting all these amazing bits and pieces!

The wonderful Bluebells & Daisies made Rachelle's bouquet & I am obsessed with her custom leather jacket. Me, Rach & Kevin took an evening stroll later on through the countryside and found this old suspension bridge, plus we managed to catch some golden hour magic!

Rachelle's dress is from Kates Bridal Room, hair by Peaches and Cream, makeup by Jen Horton, custom cake topper (featuring Ralph!) Wildwood Frames and Pegs, band Stereo Soldiers.

Amazing afternoon tea was by Rachelle's mum - what a star! And in the evening Pie Eyed & Milk Maids rocked up with their food vans for an evening of pie & ice cream.

I would highly recommend Knipe Hall if you are looking for a beautiful wedding venue in the Lake District. Knipe Hall ticks all the boxes - beautiful views, gorgeous rustic decor and plenty of character!

A few kind words from Rachelle & Kevin:

”Our whole experience with Maddie from start to finish was a huge pleasure! I found some of her work on a wedding blog and immediately contacted her, and from there the communication and service was flawless. We traveled to meet Maddie at her studio and after a brief meeting, booked her as we loved her honest, down to earth approach which shines through in her photos. Eventhough we booked her way in advance she always kept in contact and we even bumped into her at a wedding fair and was still so friendly towards us. We booked an engagement shoot prior to our wedding and we loved how dedicated she was to get the perfect shots, how creative she is, and how much she works with the surroundings to create gorg photos. She has great stamina (happy to walk miles and climb sand dunes!) as long as there is a nearby toilet and was really patient with our pet pooch Ralph. This only continued on our wedding day and when she turned up it felt we were welcoming a friend to the day. We suggested a walk to a rusty old bridge which she was only to happy to do, showing she will listen and respond to what you want all the while always chipping in her own ideas . Quite simply our wedding photos captured the styling and look I had been planning for two years but what really took me back was the small details she captured which you don't even see on the day; the private written notes, the quick glances, the small tears. You won't be disappointed getting in touch with Maddie, and I can only hope her photography gets the recognition it deserves. Thanks Maddie x”
