West yorkshire engagement session

Sophie & Chris' engagement session on Blackstone Edge, Littleborough

Sophie & Chris are a lovely couple from Todmorden, close-by to my studio in Littleborough. They chose to have an engagement session with me so that they could have a little practice in front of the camera before their big day. You can read all about booking an engagement session over on my pricing information.

We opted for Blackstone Edge, a popular walking site high up in the Pennines. Although I am not outdoorsy in the slightest, I love photographing on the moors. It's a bit wild and windy up there, but I love the rugged landscape and it's really secluded spot (bar the odd dog walker or hiker!)

I'm always asked by pet owners, 'can we please bring out dog along to our engagement session?' and the answer is always yes! Sophie & Chris brought their dog Rio who was an absolute sweetheart and I can't wait to see her again at their wedding!

Booking an engagement session is a great idea if you're worried about feeling awkward or aren't very confident in front of the camera. It's a chance to see how I work with couples and ease your mind about your wedding photographs. I always try and make engagement sessions fun and get to know more about you both, that way I can slightly alter how I photograph you. Some couples are super-duper romantic and others aren't big on PDA which is cool! I won't ever make you do anything you're not comfortable with, but at the same time I have lots of experience and tricks up my sleeve so you won't be left asking 'what shall we do?!'

If you'd like to book an engagement session (or just a couple's session for anniversaries, birthdays or just because!) you can get in touch via my contact form here.

Thanks again Sophie, Chris & Rio and I can't wait for you wedding!
